Privacy Policy
What this website collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Last updated: September 1, 2026
This policy explains how TaxesbyRoss(“TaxesbyRoss,” “I,” or “me”) handles information collected through this website. Information you provide as part of a tax engagement is also governed by the engagement agreement and by federal law restricting tax return preparers from disclosing tax return information (Internal Revenue Code section 7216).
Information collected through this site
- Contact and inquiry details — when you submit the contact form: your name, email address, phone number (if provided), the service you are interested in, how you heard about TaxesbyRoss, and the contents of your message.
- Calculator inputs — figures you enter into the Set-Aside Calculator are processed in your browser to show a result. They are not transmitted to or stored by TaxesbyRoss.
- Basic technical data — standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages viewed) and, if analytics is enabled, aggregate usage statistics. This is used to keep the site working and understand which pages are useful.
How information is used
- To respond to your inquiry and, if you choose to proceed, to provide tax services.
- To operate, maintain, and improve the website.
- To comply with legal and professional obligations.
Your information is not sold, rented, or used for unrelated marketing.
Service providers
A small number of providers process data on my behalf so the site can function:
- Form delivery — contact form submissions are processed by Web3Forms and forwarded to me by email. See the Web3Forms privacy policy.
- Hosting — the site is hosted by a third-party hosting provider that processes standard request logs.
- Analytics — if enabled, an analytics provider processes aggregate, non-identifying usage data.
These providers are permitted to use the data only to provide their service. Information may also be disclosed if required by law or to protect legal rights.
Cookies and local storage
The site uses minimal cookies and browser local storage for basic functionality and, if analytics is enabled, for aggregate measurement. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Data retention
Inquiry messages are kept only as long as needed to respond and to maintain normal business records. Tax engagement records are retained in line with IRS recordkeeping guidance and professional practice.
Security
Reasonable measures are used to protect information under my control. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please do not send Social Security numbers, full account numbers, or tax documents through the website contact form or by plain email.
Your choices
You may ask me to access, correct, or delete the inquiry information you have provided, subject to records I am required to keep. Contact Lross@TaxesbyRoss.com or call 813-516-6801.
Children
This website is intended for adults and is not directed to children.

Pages may link to third-party sites (for example, IRS.gov). Their privacy practices are their own.
